Give this a try:
Axe Mastery: 15 or 16 (12+1+2or3)
Strength: 9 (8+1)
Healing Prayers: 10
Eviscerate {E}
Executioner's Strike
Penetrating Blow
Cylone Axe
Vigorous Spirit
Live Vicariously
Healing Breeze
Monk Resurreciton skill of your choice
-Zealous Axe of defense (+5 armor vs. all) with 15%>50 or 15% while enchanted bonus.
-Strength sheild (usually req. 9 Strength) with -2 damage/+45HP while enchanted bonuses.
-Full Galds armor set.
With this build, you stay alive by out-healing damage rather than preventing damage.
While running Live Vicariously (+12 HP) and Vigorous Spirit (+15 HP), you'll get +27 HP with each swing of the blade. Add Cylone Axe into the mix, and watch the pretty +12's and +15's light up your screen like Christmas. Cylone Axe is amazing with this build; it heals, does AOE damage, builds adrenaline, and regains energy. Healing Breeze is your energency heal for when the crap hits the fan (heals for 140 HP, 1 sec. cast).
Eviscerate --> Executioners --> Penetrating is your main damage combo.
With Galds armor and the Zealous mod, energy is almost never a problem.
The only thing that could wreck you is severe enchantment stripping. I say "severe" because even in an area with moderate to relatively heavy enchantment stripping, it's still quite easy to keep your 2 enchantments up at all times (low energy costs and low recharges). It really needs to get severely heavy in order for it to be a problem. So just make sure your not soloing an area made up entirely of enchantment-stripping Mesmers and Necros and you should be fine.
